Welcome to My World
Hello and welcome to my new website!
The spotlight is something I've largely stayed away from over the years, but as I set my sights on the Paralympic Games in Pyeongchang next year, I thought it was time to share my journey with the world in the hope to inspire others to chase their dreams.
I'm passionate about skiing. I love everything about the sport from the adrenaline and freedom it gives me, to the cool fresh air and pure beauty of the mountains. Ever since my first school ski trip as a kid, I knew skiing would be a big part of my life.
In 2011, I was told I would never be able to ski again, after being left paralysed from the neck down following a rally car accident. Lying in hospital, I was determined to prove the medical team wrong.
Having noticed a poster for the Paralympic Games for London 2012 on the wall in hospital, the Paralympics become my goal, my inspiration and my driving force.
12 months after my accident, I paid a visit to the Tamworth Snowdome and skied for the first time following the crash...
With the love and support of my family and friends, in what has been a long and difficult journey; today I find myself competing for a place in the Paralympics GB squad for the games in March next year.
It's been a tough road to recovery but I feel that I'm only at the start of my journey and I'm excited for the things to come.
